Can I use these with U-100 insulin?

No. The scale is printed for U-40 insulin. Pairing a U-40 syringe with U-100 insulin gives the wrong dose; use the U-100 vet syringes for U-100 products.

Why choose 0.3 mL over 0.5 mL?

If your pet's dose is 12 units or less, the smaller barrel spreads the same units over more distance, so half units are easier to read.
